Bayon is an inherently dissipative and ionic antistatic polymer with excellent transparency. The antistatic properties of Bayon are durable due to its inherent ionic conductivity. Bayon’s antistatic properties are not diminished practically by being rinsed in water, wiped off by cloth or used in a low-humidity environment. 

When a dissipative thermoplastic polymer is blended with the Bayon host resin an Inherently Dissapitive Polymer (IDP) is created which forms a molecular-scale, interpenetrating polymer network which carries charge.  The resulting IDP provides a dissipation path throughout the photomask compact.  Bayon is one the most popular materials used to transport and handle photomasks. Pozzetta offers photomask compacts in Bayon to customers who need low organic chemical and extractable ion outgassing as well as excellent transparency and consistant antistatic properties.
